RICHARD R. WEINER [PhD Columbia] is Professor of Political Science at Rhode Island College & Local Affiliate, Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University.
Recently returned to full-time teaching and scholarship after 22 years service as academic dean.
He has also taught at the University of North Florida, London South Bank University, the Florida State University London Program, and the Cambridge University International Summer School. Weiner served as a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and the Centre des Etudes des Movements Sociaux , Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris. He is author" of Cultural Marxism and Political Sociology" and some 20 articles in journals such as Sociologie du Travail, Journal of Environmental Policy & Planning, The European Legacy, Current Perspectives in Social Theory, Central European Political Science Review (CEPSR). In CEPSR 2017 (v.18, n.67), he published "Genealogy of a Critical Sociology of Law: Weimar to Teubner." He is currently completing a book "Social Rights, Social Pacts, Social Law" for publication in 2019. And is at the same time writing on SCMOs (sustainable community movement organizations) and populism as a discursive register..
