Jeff Shantz

Jeff Shantz has been a community organizer, rank-and-file workplace activist and anarchist for decades. His publications include numerous articles in movement publications such as Anarchy, Social Anarchism, Green Anarchy, Earth First! Journal, Northeastern Anarchist, Industrial Worker, Anarcho-Syndicalist Review, Onward, Arsenal and Processed World. As well he has published in various academic journals, including Feminist Review, Critical Sociology, Critique of Anthropology, Capital and Class, Feminist Media Studies and Environmental Politics. He has been a member of the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty for around a decade (including being host of the OCAP radio show for seven years). He was also involved in the Who's Emma? infoshop and Anarchist Free Space and Free Skool for several years. Currently Shantz teaches social justice, community advocacy and critical theory at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Vancouver. He is the founding editor of the journal Radical Criminology: An Insurgent Journal of Theory and Practice.
