Dean Lockwood, awarded a PhD in Sociology at York in 1996, is a Senior Lecturer in Media Theory in the School of Media at the University of Lincoln. He co-ordinates and teaches modules on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Media and Cultural Studies, Digital Media, Media Production and Audio Production. He has published a number of journal articles and chapters in edited collections on digital culture, the spectacle of the real, 21st century gothic and post-punk music. The present title is his first book. He lives with his partner and daughter in Lincoln.
