Daniel Coffeen

Daniel has a PhD in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley where he was a Lecturer for many years. In addition, he taught graduate seminars in critical theory at the San Francisco Art Institute. Never considering himself an academic, Daniel works independently, writing about contemporary art, film, language, Deleuze, perception, Uni, capitalism, emergent shapes, pleasure, new media, death, and tequila. He has appeared on numerous podcasts including The Partially Examined Life, Diet Soap, and Zero Squared. He was an original and frequent contributor to Thought Catalog.
